Andrea Narváez Rivera is an audiovisual artist born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico in 1997. She graduated from the School of Fine Art and Design in San Juan in May 2022, majoring in audiovisual production.
Her principal medium is video and digital photography. Her work exists balanced on the line between fiction and reality, where she reflects on addiction as a way of understanding the human condition, and exploring the boundaries of pleasure and disgust. Her recent projects include short films, video art, and informal photography, with an emphasis on psychoanalysis and personal poetics.
Currently, Andrea is a founding member and co-director of “Albania Galería,” a gallery and independent project space in Puerto Rico, and is a member of the collective and project space, “Hooogar” in Guadalajara, México.
